Here are great kid games that your kids can play at their birthday
party - Part 2 of 2
Here are some more great games to play at your child’s birthday
party. You can incorporate many games to keep the party going.
Hot Potato
Using a bean bag the children will thrown the bag from person to
person. You should have some music ready and someone assigned to start
and stop music. They will continue to throw the bag until the music
stops, once the music stops who ever has the bag is out. You keep going
until there is one player left, who is then the winner. You can have
quick rounds by shortening the music intervals if you are in a time
crunch.
Water Relay
This is a great game for those parties that fall on hot days. Divide
the kids into two groups. The object of the game is to be the first team
that transports the most water within a certain time limit, or the first
team that fills a certain container; it is up to you how you play. You
need two stations, on with an empty container and the other with the
water. Next you need a device to transfer water, this is fun; use a
sponge, a turkey baster, bath toys that squire, water guys that can suck
up water, party cups and anything else you can think of. You can give
prizes for the winners.
Easy Peasy
This is a good game for indoor play. Wrap one or two small light
weight gifts or toys. Then wrap it with newspaper then with wrapping
paper. Next wrap newspaper into balls the size of the prize balls, then
wrap them with wrapping paper. Place them all together, have everyone
sit in a circle, and someone randomly chooses a ball. Start the music
and toss it between people, when the music stops the person with the
ball gets to open it.
Freeze Tag
There is no home base in this game; one child is chosen to be “it.”
They chase all the other players; once one is caught they must freeze
and spread their legs open. Then can be unfroze if an unfroze team
member crawls under them. Once all but one are froze that person becomes
“it.”
