Kids Party Invitation Ideas
Your child’s birthday is coming up, that means you need to start
preparing the invitations for everyone they want to invite. If you need
some ideas you are in the right place. Does your child have any ideas of
what they want the party theme to be? If they do you may want to create
the invitations to match the theme. So let’s look at some ideas that
your child is sure to love.

Tea Party Theme
For a tea party theme you can go to a department or dollar store and
buy some plastic tea cups. Create some small invitations with all the
party information; be sure to mention that all teddy bears are welcome.
Use a fancy font and maybe some lacy around the edges. Place the
invitation in the cup alone with a few cookies wrapped.
Princess and Prince Theme
Find a castle image, paste it to your document, stretch it to fit the
whole page, or how ever big you want the invitations, and make it
semi-transparent. Then create your message, here is a sample that you
could get some ideas from: Hear Ye! Hear Ye! All Princes and Princesses
from across the land, are gathering for an event that's truly grand! You
are cordially invited to Mandy’s Royal Birthday Celebration! For pizza,
fun, and more! Please have your carriage drop you off at (your address),
Festivities starts on October 8th at 3 PM, Your presence would be truly
honored! All kings and queens are welcomed also. You may want to use
parchment paper to give it the authentic feel. Then roll them up like
scrolls and tie with a ribbon or lace.

Pirate Theme
For this one you can create a map using your computer, create a made
up land with some landmarks, mountains, water and of course a hidden
treasure (Deadman’s Swamp, Pirate’s Cove). Then print them out, you can
chose to print on the economy setting so it appears faded to add a
little extra affect. Next you want to create the party information; Ahoy
there matey! Pirate Captain Evan is turning three! So join us for a
Pirate Birthday Party! A sailor's lunch and a pirate cake will also be
there for your pleasure! Come if you dare to Joel’s Pirate Party. We
need shipmates to swab the deck, walk the plank and look for pirate
treasure. We set sail on January 1st at 3PM, Pier located at (address).
Then for a little extra flare you can wipe the edges of the paper with a
damp tea bag, let the paper dry then (while the kids aren’t watching)
burn the edges of the paper. You can then roll them up and tie them with
rope, or place them each in a bottle with some pirate confetti and some
shells made a few gold raped pieces of chocolate if you can find small
ones. For the bottle you can also create a label, get black address
labels and draw a skull and crossbones on them, or anything else you can
think of. A root beer bottle works great for this idea.
Airplane Theme
Create a plane ticket invitation. Make up an airline name with your
child’s name in it, for example AdamAir or Samantha Airlines – The
official Birthday Party Airline. Also create a neat logo for the cover
too. Then on the inside put additional flight information: snack and
meal services will be offered, please contact agent to confirm or cancel
reservation, flight time, arrival location, passenger limited to two
carry on parents, anything else you want to add. Use a dot matrix font
for an authentic felling. You can place a bar code at the bottom and
then under it you can say something like SAMANTHAISTURNING#ONJAN012009.
Have fun with your invitations and let your kids help too if they
would like. They will be very happy with the outcomes. |
